Happy Birthday Kate

Kate just turned 21, We wanted to do something really fun, Morgan came up with the great idea to get a hotel room and have a girls night out. We planned on dinner, a movie, get up in the morning and go to breakfast then go to the mall. We decided we should invite the men (all 2 of them) to come to dinner with us. We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Kate was excited because it was her Birthday she got her own meal and a drink, a rear thing if you go to dinner with the Chatwin's. Kate had steak and shrimp and then had Godiva chocolate cheese cake for desert. Unfortunately Kate was sick with the flu, after ordering her birthday dinner she had a few bites then boxed the rest up to take home. She had one small bite of the desert, that was more than enough, Makall and Jenna finished it off.

Show Boat

Jenna in the High School musical "Show Boat" The show was a big success. after months of practicing the show was finally ready for people to see. Jenna had a small solo number and did a great job. Linda was in charge of all the costumes for the show. It was a full time job for months. I not only made all of Jenna's costumes but made most or all of 19 other costumes. I had way to many all nights sewing sessions. Staying up all night at work is a killer but at least you get paid. See the slide show to see all Jenna's pictures.

Jenna- Sweethearts

Jenna's Dance

Jenna at the High School Valentines Dance. She went with her friend Tim Erickson. They went with a big group of friends. They had a great day activity planned, however the 12 inches of snow put it on hold. Instead they played games at the Chatwin house, had dinner at the Farmer house, went to the dance and came back to the Chatwin's to watch a movie after the dance!

Makall's Solo

Makall sang " Oh What a Mornin" for her vocal solo, she is one of 3 girls chosen to represent her school at the district competition. Usually only 9th graders get to go so we are all very excited she did so well. Her competition is March 4th, we hope she does as good at the competition as she did at the try outs!

Makall's try outs for the Jr High choir competition! Makall played "Sonata Op.49 No. 2 by Beethoven"worked on this song for 5 months to be ready for try outs . She played well today, she only made a few mistakes. The next day her teacher had all the finalists play for her again and Makall Unfortunately made a few more mistakes and was not chosen for piano this year. Makall was extremely upset because she had worked so hard on the song. The good news is she gets to represent her school with a vocal solo, the teacher usually only picks 9th graders to go to competition so for Makall to go last year in piano was amazing that hardly ever happens.
